Interesting stuff, I have heard of this paddler as Culzean Castle, then Carrick Castle, on the Clyde. As far as I can find out, she was called Windsor Castle originally when built at Southampton. (Eddy, I'm sure your pic is of a different Windsor Castle, seen leaving Gourock on the Clyde)
According to "Steamers of the Clyde", NAGADAN was captured intact by Japanese troops during the Russo-Japanese war. After this she ran under the Japanese flag as NAGARA MARU then TENRI MARU. In November 1931 she went ashore at Matsu Shima, Japan.
