P.S. Juno 1898 ~ 1931
« on: June 04, 2011, 08:10:59 AM »
Hi All,
As some of you are allready aware I'm in the process of putting together Clyde Model Boats first full kit -  Paddle Steamer Juno... not an easy task i can asssure you and my main excuse for not contributing much of late ( i have other excuses if needed lol )...

Anyway, In my research i came across two really nice bits of footage ... so if you have a spare half hour here are the links -

Film 1 -

http://scotlandonscreen.org.uk/database/record.php?usi=007-000-002-013-C

Highlights include -
Juno
A (Denny's ?) Torpedo destroyer
A couple of long lost Clyde piers.

Film 2 -

http://scotlandonscreen.org.uk/database/record.php?usi=007-000-002-013-C

This one is loaded with goodies -
From Traction engines, Narrow gauge railways to puffers being launched-
and a great shot of Queen Mary (before giving her name up) sweeping away from a pier.
Oh yes there are a couple of paddlers too...

Enjoy....

Regards,
Kim

that first video was fantastic.......wonder what the old steam yacht and the [i think] J class yacht were, and was that crescent shaped beach just before the Millport alligater, LARGS beach..........looked very much like it, before development on the prom took place....just superb, talisman.

thanks.
neil.

going to watch the other one now.
