Our Scottish summer holiday
« on: March 30, 2011, 02:57:56 AM »
Hi to all of you in the west of Scotland,

our holiday is from Saturday 23.04.2011 till Saturday the 7.05.2011. This Year i will carry my Glasgow with me so is there any body who like to sail with me or can tell me nice places to sail. We ill be in Oban from the 23rd. of April till 26th. , then in Glasgow till the 29th. one night at Loch Ness and the final week will be on the Isle of Skye. I would like to sail also on sea water if it is calm enough to sail a paddletug.

Every answer is much appreciated, regards Hans
When i read about the evils of drinking, I decide to give up reading

sorruy i won't be there to see and chat with you, Hans but you'l find that the lads at LARGS MODEL boat club at the end of AUBURY CRESCENT, on Largs promanade are a very friendly bunch of lads and lasses.....they sail on wednesday evenings and sunday afternoon weather permitting, and would bring out the tea and biscuits for you.
enjoy your holiday,
neil.

Hello Hans. Check with the Clyde model steamer club. I think they still sail on a saturday afternoon out at Rukin? glen. Anyone able to give Hand details? Regards, Walter.
Blessed are the "cracked" -for they let in the light for the rest of us.

Hello Hans,

The paddle steamer WAVERLEY (the real one!) is sailing in the Oban area on 23rd, 24th, and 25th April and if you search WAVERLEY EXCURSIONS on the web, you can get her full timetable for there.
Could be an opportunity to see our last sea going paddler.

Will we meet up at Eddy's open day later in the year?
