Hello from the North West

Hi, I have been making scale boats for a few years now, since retirement, and have just been given a paddle steamer "Luloga" I think it is African but not sure. It needs some work and I was recomended to this site.
So here I am  :)

Hi Alan,

Welcome to Paddleducks.....

The Lulonga is a fictional vessel, but is of a type that was used in Africa on the lakes and rivers - Shallow draft paddlers can cope with the weed much better than a screw vessels, so they are still widely used today. The model was (I believe) drawn by Dave Metcalf.

I'm sure we can give any help or advice that you may need, just fire away with any questions. You never know, we might just get you hooked on paddlers! :D

Regards
Eddy
