This weekend
« on: April 12, 2010, 06:14:07 AM »
Well, I've spent the weekend working with Kim (Talisman) and his wife Susan at their first ever trade show. A very quiet show which was disappointing, but hopefully it got his company name known to a slightly wider audience, and allowed him to see exactly what was involved and how things can be improved for next time.

All in all a very pleasant couple of days, I thoroughly enjoyed it, although it would have been nice to see more people through the doors..... Still, onwards and upwards as they say.

So thanks to Kim and Susan, and all the customers that visited the Clyde Model Boats stand for all the pleasant chat - Hopefully we'll see you at other shows later in the year.

Regards
Eddy

Thanks Eddy for your help with everything we both really appreciate it!
Yes attendance was disappointing but in all a great selection of clubs and traders.
A lot of new friends and great conacts made which really will help us deliver more Products in the future. Exciting times ahead i hope!
We will be back next year and very much hope to be bigger and better.
Thanks again,
Kim

Was nice to meet up with other paddleduckers, just a pity the public were a bit sparse in attending,
and the Tynemouth stand had 4 paddlers on display!

We have similar experiences at the many 'delightful' wedding fairs...although sometimes soul destroying, they are still useful!  Keep it up, there's always a payoff.

Thanks for mentioning Clyde Model Boats, I've discovered some great paddlewheel kits there.

As most of you are probably aware I am Marks Model Bits (MMB). Stick with the shows and think of it as an advertising tool as well as earning some money. I am still getting phone calls from customers I saw at Blackpool show 2 years ago!!!!! so it is not all doom and gloom. Also try to get yourself to other shows in all areas of the country, not everyone has access to the tinterweb thingy and putting yourself in front of potential customers is always a good thing........

Mark.
I have not failed...... I just discovered 1000 ways that don't work!!!
