Lucky you, in Greece. Some of our member's big tugs serve as impromptu "Ice Breakers" otherwise at present its Ecranoplans and Hovercraft, providing you don't let them stop and freeze to the lake. As you so rightly say, the plethora of cheap R/C toys can be a pain also Bait boats. I use 2.4Ghz in the air but the cost of Rx s has sent me back to 40Mhz on the water.

I still have an old MacGregor 1+1 radio and would recommend that Stu, if like me you live in the middle ages and have a national reputation of tightness to keep up!   Sandy

I have some old 72 MHz radios from the 70s & 80s. I think I may still have a Galloping Ghost from the 60s, but I sold my reed equipment to someone who was putting together a collection. I also have one of my old licences from when we had to have them.

I don't envy you the weather! McGregor radio, coo that takes me back, I used to call there regularly for supplies for the shop - ah fond memories!
