I remember being taken on the Humber ferry back in the sixties and being able to peer into the engine room, and never got over the fascination of the machinery.
One day I'd like to build a live steam paddler, perhaps one of the G&SWR or Caley ferries or one of the early paddle sloops such as HMS Driver but there a lot of house and other projects keeping me busy at the moment. Other interests include restoring a pair of old Rovers, keeping a tatty old Land Rover on the road and playing trains.
