Mystery Sydney paddlesteamer, almost solved

As I continue through the State Library of Victoria collection, here is the next unclassifiable.

I have a feeling that I have seen it elsewhere.
The terrain is Sydney.  After consulting Andrews 'Ferries of Sydney': it just has to be PS Bunya Bunya or PS Waratah (2).

I was cruising at Port Stephens on Sunday (the Nelson Bay - Tea Gardens public ferry); we passed the hulk of the large former Manly ferry PS Brighton.

I have an answer back from a Sydney expert: he nominates Lavender Bay, looking across Walsh Bay, to the western part of the city.
The photo predates Sydney Harbour Bridge, but the bridge site would be left of frame.
