Photographic archive site.

Hi folks. Ive just come across an excellent web site which collates photgraphs held by Museums, art galleries and libraries. I typed in paddle steamer as a search on the site and it came up with no less than 38PAGES of pictures each with about nine pictures per page all indexed with the source of the body holding the originals. unfortunately I havnt found a way of enlarging them yet. Well worth looking at for that elusive picture you want!
site address is:   www.scran.ac.uk     and type in paddle steamer as a search. I havnt got round to typing in paddle tug, paddleboat,  etc yet as a seach but i think there may be some hidden treasures there still to be found. Regards, Walter.
Blessed are the "cracked" -for they let in the light for the rest of us.

Hi Walter

That's a great site. Thanks for that.  The images are thumbnail size and lack the detail to be enlarged.   :darn   However, if one joins at £10 then full size images can be seen. (I'm saving up!!)   :sunglasses

all the best

Despite the high cost of living,
