Pacific Coast Company [USA]
« on: August 23, 2008, 09:27:15 AM »
I was perusing a friend's copy of this book.
It lists all of the vessels in the company's fleet, so I have extracted a list of the paddlesteamers.  Most had come from other companies, or passed to other ones.
I have not recorded the tech specs.  Some were wooden; some were iron.

The company routes stretched from southern California to Alaska.
Most were side wheel; I have used SWPS to indicate those which were stern wheel.

Photos and/or specs of:
PS Ancon 1867-89
PS Alifornia 1848-94 [probably my typo for California]
PS Mohongo 1864-81
PS Montana 1865-74
PS Orizaba (1) 1854-97
PS Pacific 1850-75
SWPS Sehome 1877-1918, rebuilt with side wheels 1889
PS Senator (1), 1848-xx; sold to NZ in 1884; rebuilt as a coal barge
SWPS State of Washington 1889-1920
PS Vaquero 1865-81

Hello Pd's,

Roderick, I knew I had found some pictures of the Ancon, I just couldn't recall where I had filed them. Well, here they are;
