Hasbrouck 2 cylinder 90 degree V
« on: September 11, 2008, 12:33:38 PM »
Thanks Guys with your feedback on the Green so called "steam engine". I also doubt if the so called "large" engine could develop a real 10hp
I have had a look at the Hasbrouck range of steam engine plans. Has anybody built the little 2 cyclinder 90degree V engine? It looks a real neat unit and the 2hp rating should be fine for a 20' ply hull. Any comments? Rob

If you don't know this little V motor for a full sized boat here is the link:

It looks a neat little motor to me.
I have been told Mr Hasbrouck has fitted it to his own little side wheeler.
The small twin overcomes the stop-start action of the small side wheelers which is very heavy on the chain drives when used.
