Hi,
Between 1962 & 1967 I was a Telecom Technician in the regional country town of Deniliquin NSW Australia. Directly north of Echuca, on the Edward river.
Whilst there I was involved in the building launching & general enjoyment of a 32' flat-bottomed river boat:
"Riverine Rebel".
She was launched at Maclean's Beach boat-ramp
10:30am on Sunday 22nd October 1967.
During her construction Ken Goodman & myself visited the owners of a Paddlesteamer at Echuca; being rebuilt on I think the NSW river flats, close to the bridge. Can anyone please help me with the name of the vessel & owners?. One was the grandson of a famous river captain.
Several years later I was privileged to be able to return on a visit to the district.
On Saturday 22nd February 1997 I boarded the PS EmmyLou for an 'overnighter' cruise. We departed at 6pm.
The crew were:-
Skipper........George
2IC..............Hamish
Persor..........Joy
Cheff............Leroy
There were only three couples on board, & myself.
Nearly full moon. Truly one of those experiences of a lifetime.
Today I'm working on a computer based 'virtual world' model of the branchline from Narrandera to Tocumwal (NSW), & the PS Pevensey
& (hopefully) the PS EmmyLou will be running. It's based on the "Trainz" program.
Myself & a friend who knew that branchline are working together on our project, & it incorporates the WWII "McIntyre Field" at Tocumwal. The largest (25 square miles) airfield at that time in the Southern Hemisphere.
A project in it's own right.

Can anyone help me with plans of the PS EmmyLou, &/or dimensions??.
