Hi PD's... appears that I have been an OZ convict  stock member of this fine collective   :terrific PD WEB site for some one thousand, eight hundred and twenty five days [includes the original PJ site via YAHOO]

So from this I repeat...we proud OZ convict stock have the records from ye Olde Bailey :gather  to know who our fathers were by name  :news life in OZ =  :vacat  :towel everyday

I would never suggest :music  :hehe  those left in the olde DART all those years ago could not also claim the same knowledge  :nah

Many British also are under the mis apprehension that those famous words

..."we will not surrender....we will fight on the beaches... we will......." were from a British Prime Minister.........

Australian folk LAW is that your Winston C read some notes by our imfamous OZ Ned Kelly written some time prior

My further understanding is that the Australian Government is just waiting for a few weeks  for your current PM Tony B to abscond prior to listing the case of plagiarism against 'Winston by Ned'

However after saying all this  :rant ....I would never debase another contributors posting/s -   :angel

those left in the olde DART all those years  ago
 Â
 Can you explain please  Derek.
 Â
DART in capitals is the acronym of the  Dublin suburban train system
 Â
Dart is also the name of a river in Devon  which had a fleet of paddle steamers for many years, the last of which,  KINGSWEAR CASTLE is now preserved on the River Medway in  Kent.
 Â
While this brings the subject back on  topic, and man we maybe have some photos of River Dart paddle steamers sometime  please, I see no relevance to your posting

Hi PD's .......this is fun tonight  :hehe and as Alistair asks.....

'those left in the olde DART all those years ago - Can you explain please Derek'

Alistair... the 'Olde Dart' were not my words... could I please refer you to

9/12/1960  - BBC2 - London Television
B&W television program
"Coronation Street"
Episode one beamed on the 9/12/1960 [as seen in January 1962 in OZ]

Where the actor Ena Sharples refered to all of those left in the 'Olde Dart' after that bunch of SCUM convicts were exPORTED/dePORTED to the land of OZ via the first fleet   :rant

As a youngster in high school I clearly remember watching the show on our STEAM powered television set whilst eating a Vegimite sandwich - I did not understand the termonology so asked my dear mum who replied...."this is our past MOTHER country that gave us the free holiday sea voyage trip to our beautiful  :vacat land of OZ dear...just eat the Vege sanga & be quiet so I can watch the rest of the show before the steam runs out"

Do you not remember the same episode one  Alistiar :?:

I rest my case  :angel

No, that was before my time, Derek. I was only 10  years old then and was brought up in a religious cult that banned  television
