A good day today.....

Hi PD's,

today was a really good one the second weekend since christmas who was off  no work on saturday as well as on sunday. I decided to sail today on lake Werdenberg this is the smallest city in Switzerland. I meet some friends there but only i had a model to sail but it was nice, superb weather the thermometer tells us 14 degree cellsius but the wind was so strong i would say it was something around 5. Later we went home to my friends and he gave me a nearly complete model of the PS Loreley an old kit from KRICK. A lovely model, it needs only the whole electric as well as an engine and some paint.

Hello Mick,

you are right there are only a few on the lakes but here in Switzerland this is the third i found, one is at Winterthur MBC and the other at Olten MBC. At home i keep an kit half way build maybe i use this one for sparepart or make it ready for sailings.

Werdenberg is not in my railway timetable or my bus timetable.  How can a Swiss city (even the smallest) not be served by either mode?
To which city is Lake Werdenberg adjacent?  I can't recognise it from your postcard-pretty photos.

Hi Mick,

Werdenberg is so small i belive you can't find it on a timetable, there is no station as well as a bus stop. It is between the towns "Buchs" and "Grabs" you will find it on the map close to the border to Liechtenstein in the far east of Switzerland. It is called the smallest city of Switzerland the reason for this is some centurys back it was an important marketplace and it received the right to be a city.
