Good idea Anthony...I'll have to look into whats going on in my planner around that time and work out whether I'll be able to make it up.

Sorry I never got time to come round either. School holidays just disappeared and now only the homework remains!

Meanwhile the steam festival is an event I've always wanted to attend but never had the chance to do so I'd love to be there. I'm sure we could persuade Roderick, Michael and many of the other duckers to be there. Only problem would be if the River Run...would well Run we might lose a few people to that. Roderick mentioned something about international ducks flying south for some paddlers at this time too so maybe we could get a good sized get together going!

2007 Echuca June steam rally

I have been to many since 1967, but will be missing 2007.
If all goes according to Bill's promising offlist messages, I will still be returning to Australia from a PS cruise on Lena River (Russia); I then have to do at least May RNV (late) before assembling Jessie II at Morgan for the long-awaited Ruby Canally centenary voyage.  I will try and do most of June RNV on the laptop while moored each evening.

Yeah I should be there again this year, it will be a warm up before the Ruby/Canally trip. If it doesn't go ahead we may have the re-schedual trip to Barmah the week after the Steam Rally.
Last year was good fun as we camped the night at the sight at the auction ground, with campfire and whip cracking.
Can't wait for the year when the Campaspe River is flowing and we get a few of the boats up there for the weekend, that would be awesome!!
