Mixer?
« on: May 24, 2009, 05:36:23 AM »
Does anyone know of a source for a throttle/rudder mixer that will work with a PCM (Pulse Code Modulation) computerised Tx?

I can only find two, and they will only work with the older PWM (Pulse Width Modulation) transmitters....

I don't really want to go back to older radio gear unless I really have to!!

Your help would be appreciated

I have to ask, does the transmitter have the "elevon" function?  If so then this will mix the rudder and throttle without the need for an extra item.

I have two computerised Tx's, and to be honest I'd never even thought of looking at them to check it out.... Now where did I put the instruction manuals?

Thanks HH

hmmmmm.... After wading through the manual (which claims to be in English?), I can mix rudder and throttle, but not as I want to do it....

Remember this is for a paddler with independent motors and rudder - I want to have both motors on the left stick and the rudder on the right stick. Apply rudder and the inner motor will slow and if necessary go into reverse. I can mix ONE motor and rudder, but there's no way of having BOTH motors on one stick and to work as described above....

So I still need a mixer that will work with a PCM transmitter.... :(

Eddie, have you tried ACtion electronics, `Full Leather Jacket` on Model Boat Mayhem?   You can either PM him or go to his website shown in the Traders Section.   He ha an all singing, all dancing mixer that can do just about everything.   I have one in my Riva Aquarama which is steered by motor control, and it is brilliant.   HTH, Oldie

Thanks Oldie, I've been in touch with Dave at ACTion, so we'll see what transpires.....
