I didn't see your post until after putting up a new thread in the Research section asking for information on these ancient paddleboats. 

Since I live in Hangzhou, building subjects that have local interest have always been an inspiration & as soon as I complete a three-masted
sha chuan junk that sailed in the local waters, my next scratch project will be one of these smaller side wheel paddleboats.  The larger one
with 24 side wheels, 1 sternwheel & loaded for bear with catapults may have to wait!
