Hi there
Further to the excellent Czech reference from Walter, it would seem that
the geared motor paddle unit is pretty good. If you look closely at
http://mujweb.atlas.cz/www/p-model/a_mechdop.htm you will see that at the
left hand end it seems to be sealed to the covering "can" with an "O" ring.
The right hand end is, I think, blind. From trying to read through the
little table that pops up it, seems to run at about 100RPM. It seems to run
on 12volts and use just 8 watts. Maybe some one can help out with some
translation? I have no idea what the currency is worth, but the price seems
very reasonable. The only slight hesitation I have is that it puts ALL the
weight well above the water line. I would think that some extra weight would
have to be included low down in the hull to keep some semblance of
stability.
