Wilesco engine
« on: June 19, 2005, 04:10:25 PM »
It has been a long silent spell for me, but I have reached a point where I
need a question answered.

As some may recall I am building (in fits and starts, and between household
repairs) the paddle launch "Nina" from the 1981 Model Boats magazine.

I now have a Wilesco single engine steam plant (I tested it the weekend.
Oooooooooh). Walter Snowdon said to turn the engine on it's side. My
question is, doesn't that effect the oiling? Looking at how that is set up
it looks like it might be a problem.

I have pictures of the first stages of the hull, but they are in the camera
with the Christmas photos. I will post when I get a bit further along and I
get the film developed. I need to get a digital camera some day but a radio
control unit is higher on my list. Maybe for my birthday.

Brian
