I have just come across an interesting article and plan in a
back issue of MODEL SHIPWRIGHT number 75, March 1991. Its of a
sidewheel tug built in Scotland for servive in New zeeland in 1890.
She is unusual in that the funnel is forward of the paddle box. She
SAILED to NZ rigged as a topsail schooner with her wheels on deck.(A
long way for a tug!) Plan and article is by P N Thomas. Sufficient
detail to build a good model.
