Thanks for the response on the Goethe trip.
She is very pleasant ship to take a trip on. I was amazed at the speed of
the current in the river. In some places the marker buoys are almost being
pulled underwater. The ship leaves Koblenz at 9.00 AM and does not reach
Rudesheim (against the current) until 3.15PM. She then takes less than 4
hours to get back to Koblenz.
I took quite a few photos, however my wife has the film and I am still
waiting for her to produce it. She swears that she packed it, but at this
moment is not quite sure where!! Just hope it turns up!!
I asked the engineer and a couple of other crew members on the ship, if they
knew of any places that models of the ship were still available and they all
said no.
Regarding the Scotia work. This has slowed down some due, to my traction
engine work, but am still plodding along with it. "Life" is presently taking
a lot of good modelling time!!! Bit like your house moving!!
All the best.
