Title: PS Jeanie Deans

Hi All

I am new to Paddleducks, I am currently trying to build, a 1:32 Scale
Steam Powered model of the Jeanie Deans. I intend to complete the
model to represent the ship as it was near the beginning of its
career with the LNER 1931-1932.

I am having trouble locating photographs showing the details of the
ship at this time. I wonder if there is anyone out therewho knows of
the whereabouts of such photos, I have plenty showing the ship in
later stages 1940s,50s,60s, Including many view taken on board
showing details/close ups, and it is this type of information I
require for the 1930s period.

If anyone is able to help, or point me in the direction of someone
who might I would be very grateful.

I certainly have some on board photos of JD taken i 1965 as she lay at
Greenock waiting to go down south.

There are some photos in my book, "Steamers of the Clyde: NBR & LNER".
published by Tempus Publishing @ £11.99. She had two funnels of equal height
and no forward deck saloon in 1931. In 1932 the funnels were heightened
I can supply the book if you wish

And an excellent book it is too. The Jeanie was my favourite as a boy.

And mine. I managed a couple of years on the Clyde, aged 13 & 14
respectively, with a runabout ticket for a week, in 1963 and 1964, Jeanie's
last two seasons
