Title: Hello from the U.S.
Post by: Gnip on January 14, 2024, 03:33:39 PM
Hello, my name is Greg Knipp and I am from Manitowoc, Wis.  U.S.A.  I have a big interest in tugs, fishing boats and paddlewheel ships.  I am currently looking to construct an RC model of either the Glynn Guest design of the Eccleshal paddle tug or his Wrigley sternwheeler.  I'm having trouble deciding which to start with.  If I opt for the Wrigley, I would like to do away with the split wheel and double motors and go single wheel with rudders.
I am looking forward to reading the many forum threads for ideas as well as opportunities to contribute.  Thank you.

Welcome aboard Greg

There is a little on the Eccleshal paddle wheeler in our history, I have not seen any further detail or build

Having said this, will be looking forward to your further work and the build

Thank you so much.  Yes, i agree, there isn't much on the Eccleshall, or the Wrigley for that matter.  I know a gentleman going by DamienG did a rendition of the Wrigley and named it LADY OF THE LAKE.  I wanted to see his pictures but they dont show on his thread.
