This model I build in 2004. The resin hull was made by Marten & Hoves and Baylis for the Escher-Wyss steamlaunch "SEEKADETT" - a very expensive kit. At a steam event in Sinsheim only the hull was offered at for a rather low price. My model even was orientated at the M&H model, but with some alterings. So the rear saloon`s breadth is like the breadth of the hull. I made the superstructure without any plan only with sketches. Engine is the famous Graham TVRIA, boiler is a home made flametube type of 200 mm lenght with diameter of 100 mm.
Very nice and warm summerday today. All was functioning well, so the trip was pure joy!

Hi,
A question about the shape of the bows on old steamships: the bow often looks like the one here, with a projection at the bottom. I haven't seen anything like that in real life, though I have seen it in old photos of the ships?though in those cases, it seems more like edge distortion caused by the limitations of camera technology at the time. Could that be the case?
