Title: How do you steer a sternwheeler?

Sorry if this is in the wrong place. But just how do you steer a sternwheeler boat?

With rudders just like any other boat.... Sternwheelers can have rudders in front of the sternwheel, behind the sternwheel, or both.

For the side wheels, rudder at the rear and sometimes a front.
For the rear wheels, behind them (one or more) and sometimes also in front of them but also we find under the bow.
On boats feel with a wheel on each side at the back, as they are driven by hydraulic or electric motors no more rudder but for a help there is a bow thruster

This arrangement with small "monkey rudders" from my experience has proved in good manner.
