Towboat "TJ" Joe sent me a FABULOUS link with all kinds of neat photos
he's put together from the "Blue and the Grey Museum."
These are great pictures of the many models there and its a MUST
SEE..in fact it's amazing when you look at all the fighting models and
realize this was the HEYDAY of paddlewheel propulsion in north
America. There are so MANY fabulous subjects for larger and R/C
models..and Joe has hooked up with some neat people down there who
apparently have all kinds of Civel War Paddler plans. I understand
the Museum has kits of many Civil War paddlers for sale so I'm going
to contact someone there to obtain a comprehensive list of them for
our files.
This is a fascinating and pivotal period in paddler history and I hope
by going to the site some of you will be tempted to seriously consider
some Civil War model paddler projects..its an appropriate time to
think about the US and the Great Civil War that forged her history.
