Title: Important Health Examinations
Post by: DamienG on March 31, 2017, 08:57:57 PM
I lost a 36yo niece to breast cancer today  :'(

All members Please insist your wives children and grand children have a regular breast screen, a little discomfort to ensure a long healthy life.

Thanks Thomas She had both breasts removed 2 years ago it moved to her liver the prognosis was 2 weeks to 2 years she married her partner in hospital and within 24hrs developed a blood clot in he lung and passed away.
Not a good start to the year to loose a younger sibling and a niece within a month.
I do have 12 other younger siblings though.

Thanks one and all for your thoughts much appreciated.

While it's now easy to urge others to take action for prevention I fully appreciate that others will avoid medical procedures like the plague, I used to be one of them. I was diagnosed with a LARGE Pituitary tumor at 42 years of age that started in my teens but as I was scalded with boiling milk at 13 months of age and spent 8 weeks in hospital with skin grafts, for 41 yrs I purposefully avoided Doctors of any kind not now the Tumor was a big wake up.
I'm the other way now, a trip to the Doc will give peace of mind Now or in the future if possible.
