Has anyone else found Photobucket down all my thread pic's have gone and I can't log on to their site.
-
Yes Damien...it's a worldwide Photobucket server issue :shhh
I don't use such servers........if they die ...you can loose everything.............unless you have your own backups

Thanks Derek, I don't have them backed up. ooops
If Photobucket comes back OK they'll all be copied to creative cloud for emergencies.
-
Just done a very quick check. I can access my pictures using app on my Kindle and threads using Photobucket pictures display correctly. Either problem fixed or failure hasn't affected UK. Hope you manage to retrieve you pics.

Thanks Andy, It came back about 13hrs ago and I've copied 200 pic's so far to creative cloud about 1000 to go.
-
Further to my positive post about Photobucket I am now having problems trying to upload. Each time I click upload it redirects me to the login screen and won't accept the details. Lots of unhappy campers with same problem on their support site, many of whom have paid for a Pro account.

Not good Andy. Sounds like they've been hacked.

All my pic's are gone I removed 1267 pic's from photobucket to a hard drive next morning went to load the pics to paddleducks and the hard drive had died all gone family pics, model pics and my race car/hillclimb car 25 yrs of pics gone.
Silly me deleted each folder from photobucket after I downloaded them.
To say I'm peeved is as gross understatement.

Disconnect the hard drive, place it in a ziplok bag and place in on the middle shelf of your domestic kitchen refrigerator freezer
After 20 minutes, remove the drive.......reconnect to the PC........turn on & attempt a complete disk file transfer to an alternate external HDD.......
Do not try to install and transfer to smaller capacity ZIP drives......you will only get one chance
Good luck............ Derek

Did that Derek it's completely dead.

Well it was worth a try :crash......my brother received a one year free subscription to a Computing magazine for his suggestion of putting the failed HDD on a bag of Birds Eye frozen peas for 20 minutes
The judges trialled it & it evidently worked :whistle..........
