Title: Lucy Ashton a model rebuilt
Post by: waverleyjamesieboy on July 29, 2016, 09:28:12 AM
Hi all, as stated in another post on drive systems. I have acquired a model of the Lucy Ashton. I bought it from a fellow member of the Clyde steamer club, he had been given some models to sell to raise money for the RNLI. It was a nice model but showing it's age, a bit fragile. I decided to do a major rebuild of it rather than just a quick sort up, as it has a lot of potential. The funniest thing is I was on a page on facebook to do with the Waverley and posted about doing this model up, linked to a gallery of pictures of it. Someone posted a pic of a model of the Lucy Ashton sailing asking if It could be the same one, straight away I recognised it. Turns out this was the original builder of it, what's the chances lol!! I will post pics once I manage to re-size some.

That was my model originally.  Built back in the 1970s.
