I am a retired mechanical engineer and enjoying time in my workshop playing with my lathe and drill mill making model steam engines amongst other stuff. I am in the process of building a steam launch having already made the engine and boiler. I originally hail from Lancashire prior to emigrating in 1971.

You are in a great spot with lakes nearby I'm in Wendouree Vic. 3 bodies of water nearby all chocked with weed.
