Hi Paddleduckers,
A local Melbourne TV news service last night ran a story that took me
completely by suprise. Apparently there is a rally for paddleboats tracing
the Murray River from Echuca to near it's ocean entrance in South Australia,
paddlers are joining in along the route and by the time it reached Mildura
(about half way and where the story was from) there were over 100 boats in
the fleet. Now Mildura is about 7 hours drive from Melbourne but had I known
I would have gone for the weekend, complete with cameras, a full kit of
lenses and dozens of films. The chance of a lifetime has passed me by right
in my own backyard, I can't believe it. Did any of the other Aussies on the
list make it along, or even know it was happening?
