Hi friends and neighbors,
last week I was in Vienna, Technisches Museum. Beside some good models of Danube paddlers I found this historic model of a Danube dredger with paddlewheel propulsion.
The model is nearly 3 meters long and was made in 1838. Not very much is known about it - may be it is a modell of a real existing dredger of that time or it can be, that it is a pattern of a projekted one.
Interesting also the fine bow decoration for a working ship.
