Title: Swanee Stern Wheel Paddle Boat Plans
Post by: dbpage on July 02, 2015, 11:10:27 AM
My father built this model sometime after March 1947. A model boat club collegue found the attached cover photo on the July 1960 edition of Popular Electronics. The PE article was about ITT engineers and there are no specifics about the model plans or radio gear.

I refinished and refitted the boat with modern radio gear in 2001. It's a great model to run.

I am looking for two things:
1. Date of model plans
2. Referral to where the plans were published
Thanks!
Dennis

In that era any Radio gear was hand made by the modeller using valves and rubber band powered escapements as servos bought my first single channel RC gear by OS Co around 1969 it was the latest thing.
My dad built a set however because of the weight of the batteries to power the valve receivers they only suited LARGE models.
