KISFALUDY  a new diesel-powered replica of an 1846 paddle steamer, entered service on 1 May on Lake Balaton in Hungary, based at Balatonfured

Interesting stuff Alistair. The hull shape looks a bit modernistic but suppose it can't be seen when the vessel is afloat. To think we can't find the money to restore the original we have on Loch Lomond never mind build a brand new replica. Thanks for sharing.

It seesm from the company website,

that there is a second replica paddler, Hableány, operating from Keszethly.
She has the dates 1867 and 2007at the base of her paddle box, so it would seem that she is a replaca of an 1867 paddle steamer
