On tonight's news 3 boats for sale advertised worldwide I hope there's a guarantee they stay in Australia.
-
Also in yesterdays Herald Sun newspaper.
As you say Damien hope they stay where they are.
I believe that the council at Echuca is going to landscape and redo the area where the three boats dock. I wonder if the mooring fees etc. are going up.

It is the business being sold as a business. Anyone can own it and it stays at Echuca. Just look at Vegemite and Fosters and almost everything else. So far, despite being advertised worldwide, PS Decoy is still in Perth.

Love the You Tube ad. Lets hope they stay there. Is there anything to say they have to stay there or could they be move some where else? You'd have to think that Echuca would be the best place for them.

Hi PD's.....yes Barry...the video is excellent :08, however $3.8M .:a102 ...is a big number irrespective of the product
Current bank interest is about 2.? %....the stock exchange is commanding about 9.?% return on relatively stable commodities...so to invest $3.8M into a venture would require a far greater return than the 9.?% and with proportionate or lower risk
Considering the vessels were designed for shallow river work only......I think there is little possibly being used in any other world wide waterways....and this also without considering transportation & associated costs
So if the vessels are currently providing an acceptable return on investment they may sell...if not :squareone ........ Derek

Unfortunately I can't imagine foreign investors buying the business and staying in Echuca & as you say Derek relocation cost and hull suitability will stall off shore purchase as transport cost to anywhere could easily match or top the purchase price of the business.
