Title: Start a new life in NZ wi

 ;D Here is a link to a nice old paddler for someone who wants to get away from it all.
http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=788744114 You could just live on board or set up a commercial operation although as usual there are local council hoops to jump through. Let me know if any of you want to come down to NZ and check it out. Cheers, Ian.

Ooooooh I wish.  ::)
Yourè not the only one, but kiwiland is much too far away from my family :oops
And the boat would be much too expensive.
So I`ll stay home and drive model boats ::)

There have been posts in the 'preserved paddleboats' thread.  IIRC it is on one of the Waikato
 reaches (the river is split by multiple dams).  There are photos of it on a trailer at Thames, so relocation is also a prospect.

Roderick,
Those are all historical.
It was on the Waikato River, which has multiple dams, (no dams on the Wanganui). The boat started life as a tunnel hulled boat owned by Hattrick's on the Wanganui River, and has had a varied and eventful life. She is now a paddle boat, has its own transport trailer, hence very modile, and last I heard was over Tauranga way, and had a run in with local iwi wanting payment to run on their river.
Now up for sale  http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=788744114
cheers
