Title: Hello Paddle Steamer Modelling Enthusiasts
Post by: wansbrough on September 04, 2014, 05:39:17 AM
Hello One and All  :)

I will start by saying I never imagined I would find a forum dedicated just to Paddle Steamer Modelling Enthusiasts.
You have a great little forum here by the looks of things so well done.

The reason I found you was because I have trying like mad to find a deck plan of PS Waverley and there is nothing anywhere so I am hoping someone here might be able to help. I did spot one pinned up in the engine room on Sunday so they must be out there somewhere.

I don't want it for modelling purposes but for use to embellish a review I have just done on a cruising forum which is about my recent trip down to Lundy on her. I would post a link but don't wish to potentially break any forum rules.

I will however post a link to the photos I took which might be of interest.

Here's hoping someone might be able to help.

Thanks

Mike

Welcome Mike..... :coffee

I am sure our WEB owner and moderators would be delighted to see a link here on PD's to a story/review of a trip on PS Waverley

:bravo ...on those 317 images...... some superb shots taken down on the engine room lower plates.....

Am I correct in thinking that image 125 is the paddle shaft cover plates?....Derek

Derek, from memory that photo shows the port engine flat alleyway looking forrard towards the shop and the metal mound is indeed the port paddle shaft cover.

Thanks Derek, if its not a problem then here is a link. Just a few words to go with the photos really which is why I was looking for a deck plan which would really help.

Welcome also from Austria
Nice photos, looks like it was a great trip. Unfortunatley we dont have any paddle steamers left in vienna as runnung ships. The last one survives as a partyship only :-[
Greetings from Vienna
