Title: New oscillating steam engine
Post by: Gerhardvienna on July 19, 2014, 05:06:30 AM
Hallo to all PD`s
Here is just a little Video from a complete new engineered lifesteam engine. This was planned from Georg Held and myself and built for the testings from Hartmut Babig, for use in the SMS Danzig, wich I will build after the RIGI. Listen to that great sound, it`s very close to the original sound of Steamwheelers! I`m sorry, that there are no plans available at the moment.

thanks for the link. fascinating. In the process of checking out the link,  I discovered a few more that might be of interest  including Jay Leno's 1832 working steam engine  (among many) in "his garage". Silly me, I thought he only collected cars. and another steam engine about the size  of the family barbeque that is rotary.

the last one is the one that could run your life-sized project.

Good things too. The engine fom your second Link could be good for use in larger paddlers!
Best regards
