Very good to find this site. I have always been a fan of sidewheel steamers, and spent many days on Concordia while working in Italy. After many many years of planning, finally built the boat.
Sidewheeler Margaret S. built 2010, 19 ft - 3 in x 5ft x 2 ft BS plywood with fiberglass/epoxy hull. Driven by a traditional American Walking Beam Engine, 3.25 in. bore/5.25 in. stroke, 52 RPM, 100 PSIG. Wheels 42 inches diameter. Presently operating on the USA East Coast, Virginia to New Hampshire. Can be seen in action on youtube, under "sidewheel steamboat"
