Hi,
I guess I haven't introduced myself yet, My name is Bill, I always enjoyed making models, I have recently become interested in model boats, and I am about to start building my first paddle boat.
Being fascinated with side wheel paddle boats, :) especially tugs, and small open launches.
I have decided my first paddler will be a scratch build, powered by a simple steam plant, with 2 channel remote control.
I would like to build something similar to Paddleducks member Bob Golder's " Melissa "
I would like to use my Wilesco D48 plant, and with my short attention span the 10 to 15 minute run time would be perfect.
If anyone can suggest a similar model to the Melissa it would be much appreciated.
Thanks,
Bill

The Melissa was actually built by a very good friend of mine, Walter Snowdon - He's one of the Admins here on Paddleducks, so you can contact him if you need to....
The boat was Walters own design, based on a Missionary boat he saw in a museum (if my memory is correct?).
I'm sure he can give more info if you require it.
Regards
Eddy

Oops, Thanks Eddy.
I Had seen that post quite a while back and when I searched for the Melissa launch I saw Bob Golder's name at the top.
My apologies to Mr. Snowdon, What a neat little launch. :)
If my effort turns out half as nice I'll be very pleased.
