Very pleasing to see more and more young people attending commemoration ceremonys and honouring their forebears. My dad (who is 94 and a WW2 veteran) was really chuffed to see young people in the parade and wearing teir grandparents medals. For the present at least it seems that they will not be forgotten. Ian.

Derek. Yes well done you.
By the way.  P.S. Duke of Devonshire went all the way to the Dardanelles, and she came back, not bad for a small pleasure steamer. I believe the fore deck was boarded over at the bulwark level, for the journey across the Bay of Biscay. Geoff
