Hi,

Alas I do not have a great knowledge of Paddle Steamers except when I was very young travelling on holiday to Minehead across the Bristol Channel from Cardiff on the Cambell Steamers that operated then.  The Waverley now plys the channel each Summer.

My interest in paddle propelled boats is recent having bought a book on American River Boats in a discount stone.  I am in the proccess of designing and building a simple direct acting steam engine to fit in a model stern wheel paddle boat.  If it is successful and powerful enough I hope to make a hull for it.  I sure that joining this group will help.
