Title: U.S. civil war boats
Post by: Joe E Brown on June 13, 2005, 08:59:14 PM
I have built a couple of models for the Gray and Blue Museum in
Vicksburg, MS. They have many models of civil war boats plus a 8 foot
by 20 foot layout model of the battle of Vicksburg. Lamar Roberts is
the cureator there and he, along with another gentleman, has
published a book with info and drawings of civil war boats. The phone
number there is 601-638-6500. If anyone gets a chance to go that
direction be sure to stop in. You won't believe all the models in
this small museum.
Have a good day.

Hey TJ:

Have you got any pictures of those civil War paddler models you built?
Would love to see them. I have also uploaded a couple more images of
Union Paddlers in the files, but I'd like to balance things out with a
few more from the other side!

I haven't built a civil war boat for them yet. I built them a flat
boat and they have a small room of river towboats that I have three
on display there. I'll be going back down between June 27 and 30 so
I'll get some photos for you guys & gals.
