Here's another paddler Mona's Queen that also looks interesting.

Hi all
MONA'S QUEEN was built for the Isle of Man Steam Packet which owned her throughout her career. She was actually launched in 1885 and was a big, fast and impressive steamer. Her normal route was from Fleetwood to Douglas (IOM) - Fleetwood is close to the major English holiday resort of Blackpool and this sailing was extremely popular with day trippers. She was also used on the Company's prime mail and passenger route from Liverpool.
During World War 1 she was used on the English Channel as a troop transport - on one voyage she rammed and sank a U-boat.
She returned to civilian service and became the Steam Packet's last paddle steamer - her long career ended in 1929.
Attached is a rather poor image of a postcard showing her leaving Fleetwood
