Title: Value - Artisania Latina - King of the Mississippi
Post by: Paulrjordan on June 13, 2005, 08:48:05 PM
I have been rather busy this past week setting up a fairly large
public display in a museum for our Model Boat Club. The issue of
model value came up a number of times, particularly for insurance
purposes. Most of our members are woefully ignorant of the true value
of their models. We won't even talk about the hundreds of hours
needed to replace one of these (often one-of-a-kind) models in the
event of a toital loss or theft. Anyway this is a subject oyu've heard
me comment on before..but it doesn't hurt to keep reminding our
members here.

For those of you who have built the attractive model of Artesania
Latina's 'King of the Mississippi you might find the following webpage
of interest. Have a look at the price to purchase a finished version
of this kit...

Have I convinced you to call your Insurance agent yet?

Now the exhibit Museum is installed ,I hope to be able to catch up a
little with Paddleducks tomorrow night, although next week is pretty
busy getting ready for a model boat sale out Club is holding next
Saturday.

Judging from the messages index, you guys have been pretty quiet too.
How about a quick beginning of the month workbench update from you
all? AND some MANUFACTURERS NEWS....

Oh by the way, a completely built and motorized model I purchased last
year of the Artesania Latina "Bensersial" for $50.00 Canadian is
currently listed at US$3250.00. This works out at approximately
$4,600.00 Canadian ...so go figure!!! See the Bouticom.com website at
