Title: Regner 20240 Steam Driven Water Make up Pump
Post by: derekwarner_decoy on March 09, 2012, 09:38:34 PM
Hi PD's.......... [possibly a question for kno3]

Does anyone have any knowledge in the Regner 20240 steam driven water make up pump?

The Regner WEB catalogue is in .pdf format so I cannot translate it.... :ranting

But from what I see....the steam side is 10 mm stroke x 10 mm diameter bore & driving a 6 mm diameter single acting water pump..which would also be 10 mm stroke  :nono ....the water volumetric displacement is 0.331cubic cm/stroke

It is certainly a most attractive unit....abeit the 480 Euro  :c002

I see no reason why the steam inlet volume could not be metered to as to provide a measured displacement back to the boiler.....

Any thoughts appreciated.......Derek  :c017

I've read about it on some German forums, where people have used it. Seems to work and to self start, but I got the impression it can be somewhat fiddly. The price kept me from trying it out myself. I can't understand why it costs so much.
