Hi All,
well after a long delay and a Kit revision i think it is probably best that i start a fresh on this build.
For those that are interested this semi kit was launched in 2010 but since then i have made significant investment in machinery and as a result some of the production methods have been changed.
The previous start to this build remains on the Forum should you like to go see how this all started.
Anyway, a lot of Cad drawing and working out has been done since i originally posted. A looming deadline and want to get her on the water means i should be whizzing along ... famous last words...
Once MOL is complete i will re visit the other threads started on here.
I have less than 8 weeks to go so hang on to your seats ... :hehe
Regards
Kim

LoL Ian i was joking ...
But i should say ... if any of the original Buyers of the kit (you remember the guys that bought it at reduced price) would benefit from the improvements ... our to put it another way... Haven't got around to building yet then i will happily replace the parts FOC ...
Remember, i know who the original buyers were... please don't try it on ...
Buckle up Ian..
Regards,
Kim

Interesting that the new mods jump on me just as quick.. for a benefit in kind to original supporters of my venture! Yet make no mention / acknowledgement of my departure.
No hard feelings ,,,, either way!

Huh? Maybe you might want to explain that Kim? I don't know what you mean - Maybe via a PM or email rather than openly on the forum?
Hope all is well up there in bonny Scotland...

Hi Kim and all
my MOL, which I began in June 2010, will be finished soon, I think in the mid of march.
She is driven by steam with a Graham 2 cylinder engine and a home made boiler. The deplacement will not extend
6,5 kg, the boat dives only a little more in than the constructed water line, stability is sufficicent.
It was necessary, to use only very thin and light materials (for example 0,2 mm alu sheet for the funnel and 0,8 mm plywood which 0,5 mm mahagny strips for the decks and roofes) to avoide more weight.
In the next weeks I `ll finish the details. The boat will be well detailed. When it is finished, I hope to show you some pics of the model steaming on a pond in south Germany - but only, when the ice will be broken!
greetings to all
Tom

I'm sure a lot of people will be interested in seeing your MOL Tom, especially the steamplant installation...
Looking forward to some pictures soon.

Looking forward to seeing her in action Tom. When you have a moment I would especially like some details of your boiler and also of the drive system you have used. Thanks in advance, Ian
