Title: Charlotte Dundas
Post by: Geoffrey on January 16, 2012, 02:51:51 AM
My model featured in Model Shipwright No 117 of March 2002.
Liasing with Bill Harvey and Ian Rose of the Falkirk museum I produced a set of drawings which were used by Falkirk to initiate the production of their 3/4 scale model.
The main feature is the use of low pressure steam which succeeded beyond my wildest dreams. It runs quite successfully at 4psi.
If anyone is interested there are lots of photos of the construction. Any points of interest raised will be answered fairly quiickly as I'm retired and living in Surrey.

Hello Geoffrey. The answer is YES PLEASE to the photoraphs of the Charlotte Dundas. I remember your article in the sadly missed MODEL SHIPWRIGHT. The Wee Charlotte has brought a lot of correspondence and queries amongst modellers over the years. Regards, Walter Snowdon

Although I'm quite willing to supply as many copies of my pics of CD as you want I can't find out how.  Do I put photos on the Gallery or my images and can you copy them from there.  How do I put up the photos in the first place?  I'm too old to learn new tricks and I need someone experienced on this site to help. (you?) I've just noticed the 'Attachments ' option at the bottom of this page so I'll have a go. Fingers crossed.
