Title: Hello from the Netherlands
Post by: herne08 on November 15, 2011, 07:09:24 AM
Hello,
My name is Hans and I'm a steam enthousiast :P. And still a beginner. My goal is to make a 'big' steam boiler and all the fittings. Maybe it will be in a boat, I'm not sure yet. I made some little and simple steam engines (some by Elmer Verburg). I just finished a new one from Rudy Kouhoupt plans. It's a slide valve engine. Almost finished the Jenny Wren engine/boiler by Tubal Cain (really small, piston size is 3/32"). Soon I will start a new engine from casting (PM Research #3). After that perhaps the boiler?

It's nice to see all those nice steam steamboats with all the bells and whistles ;D. Makes me want to start my big (2 1/2") boiler.

I've added a picture with some of my little engines.

Greetings, Hans
