I would like to give praise to Kim Maclean of Clyde Model Boats who helped
me as a newcomer to paddle boats explaining and supplying to me the
parts I needed for my paddleboat to get scale speed and independant
drive etc. Top Man
Thanks Kim.

Hi PD's.......our thanks to you ... john44 ... it is always good to get an impartial view of suppliers & even better when the result is a glowing recommendation :clap
To better understand where I am coming from........a number of years ago I purchased a feathering wheel set from a well known British manufacturer :hammer
The first set turned up as 1:48 scale when I had ordered 1:24....I returned the full kit via registered post
The second kit arrived grossly overscale in section but @ 1:24 basic dimensions, however minus all of the stainless steel fastners
After much debate these arrived as M3 which were also grossly oversize for a scale of 1:24
Tug Kenny used the same wheel set on his build of Waverley....I have relegated the brass components to the scrap heap...& saved the Grade 304 stainless steel M3 SHCS & nuts to my ready use stock....
I certainly would not recommend any product from Mr Mayhew of Waverley Models :nono ..... Derek

Thanks for the warning derekwarner,
as a newcomer to paddle boats I welcome the advise of others especially
if the suppliers are not up to expectations.
